as I seem to be very hard on my keyboard and headset - these are a lot sturdier. Since the headsets (for the most part) are wired, they would fit with your preference.
Most of them also have a mouthpiece/microphone attached to the headset for dictation or on-line chats. These fold up nicely, out of the way, and never interfere. Good luck to you.
