MTs would only just be reinstated as the primary documentation specialists for the entire healthcare system in this country. But in trying to replace us over the years, billions of dollars have been thrown into developing "AI" voice recognition software (no match for human intelligence and skill) when all of those billions could have kept well-trained MTs on the job and getting it done far better than any computer software or any foreign labor partner. So the industry really blew it. The United States could have evolved into the mecca of worldwide transcription services. Other countries would have been outsourcing their work to us, not the other way around.
