They can ask - but not mandate

These sleazy outfits get around the IRS regulations. They can say overnight, but you can work the hours you want between such and such hours. There are plenty of MTs out there who will jump at the change to work anytime just to be working, IC or not.

The IRS going after them, that's a laugh. Years ago they did and that is when everyone was an employee, but you see how that has worked out.

Face it, these companies are crooks and know all the loop holes and MTs are either desperate or bored and will work for them. I can say this, because I am one of them, although I don't work overnight or even late night and do it for supplemental income as I do have an outside job from MT, otherwise I would be on the verge of a total meltdown!
