I now work doing insurance transcription full-time and I'm so much happier and much better off. I always have tons of work and the pay is comparable to what MT used to pay back in the good old days. There is no micromanaging or obnoxious QA. I love it. I actually have a life again. MT just wasn't paying the bills any longer and I was absolutely miserable and burnt out at my last MT job between the endless micromanaging, being expected to adhere to a schedule as an IC, and a total control freak, dishonest boss who was almost impossible to please. I'm so glad to be freed from that situation.
