IC/employee status - 2Broke Posted: Oct 27th, 2020 - 10:16 pm
I'm new to IC status. Wondering if most companies treat ICs as an employee. For example, tell you when to work, if you can take timeoff, if you need to quit early you need permission, etc. I understand TATs but I thought being an IC gave you more control over your schedule, not just the pain of paying your own taxes and everything else is as directed by "employer." Please correct me if I'm wrong, not so sure I like being independent.
