Almost every state requires you to look for work - It varies by state

While you are on state UE, you are required to look for work, document your job searches and report weekly, and you will lose your benefits if you don’t follow the rules, it doesn’t matter whether or not you work at home. I live in WA State and that is how it has always been. With all the claims, there may be more people trying to take advantage and they may even crack down harder than usual. My experience is that they will try to get people back to work, even if it means a worker retraining program. You can also do partial UE and pick something up part-time until this blows over and still keep your current job. There are places that are hiring; delivery services, appointment scheduling for healthcare facilities, insurance companies or other virtual jobs where you can stay at home.
