Unemployment, income estimate - advice needed - sleepymt

Posted: Mar 24th, 2020 - 7:43 pm

Hi again. When it rains it pours doesn't it?

I'm having some problems that I hope some of you can help me with.

Even though I was laid off a few weeks ago now, I still don't have unemployment or medical care. The problem is that phones and websites are crashing here for the state healthplan finder and unemployment. They are trying to hire more people to process claims but it's seems to be easier to just deny. It's happening quite a bit here. I'm in WA.

One of the problems they are having with me is my income. I don't have any right now but I am supposedly getting compensation over the next 3 or 4 pay periods that will equal my pay if it was hourly. Still, I've only been given an estimate. Nothing crystal clear.  So, to estimate your income for Medicaid or unemployment, how do you figure it? I've read all the material and talked to people, but they don't seem to understand being paid production. Should I just use the gross income from the pay stubs for this year, add the supposed compensation and leave it at that?

Any help is appreciated.

Also, I've been putting in my resume at various places (both transcription and other at-home work) and I have not been successful. No leads yet. Hiring is starting to freeze especially for at-home work.

Take care of yourselves. I'm still around, just a bit overwhelmed. Honestly, you are all in my thoughts.
