You also have to be a college student going towards a medical degree. They make it sound like it will give you all this on-site training because you get to follow the doctor around with an iPad.
I have only been to one eye doctor that had his own scribe as an employee, but she was also keeping his patients moving (medical assisting) because he apparently was a "talker." His wife made the scribe interrupt him and end the visits so he could move on to the next one.
