I have gotten Christmas cards from employers, along with tacky chain letters from employers as well. Many years ago, we MTs DID receive something at Christmas time: however, now, it is not considered "politically correct, or whatever," to acknowledge employees during the holidays. I didn't see the OP as "bragging," but just extremely surprised by getting a bonus at Christmas and some sort of acknowledgment that the work he or she does is very much appreciated.
