I just ordered my 3rd Infinity foot pedal within about a 5-year span. The same happens to all of them, problems just like you are having. I only got about 1-1/2 years out of the last one. Read reviews on Amazon, and you'll see this is a very common problem. Seems like they are disposable electronics now. I still remember the day when something would last for years.
