Tell me - about a time when you used good judgment and logic.

Many people think medical transcriptionists simply listen to audio and type what they hear. In fact, we are required to vet each an every word we hear. For example, if a physician dictates hemoglobin 33 and hematocrit 11, because I'm familiar with lab reference ranges, I immediately suspect that the physician has inadvertently switched the values. Therefore, I would either check the patient record if available or flag the trancript for the physician to review.
