If I could put a "love" to this post I would! I honestly was going to post something similar but you beat me to it and said it just as well or better. I have been PERSONALLY attacked on here for stating things about my job situation on Facebook. I and I alone did the research and the legwork to get the jobs. I tested on the jobs and apparently did well enough to get hired. It also may have been a matter of being in "the right place at the right time."

I have given different MTs leads on companies that to the best of my knowledge offer straight typing rather than VR editing and companies that have NO affiliation with Nuance or VDI.

What people do NOT seem to get and as you stated, I am not responsible for finding these people work. Instead of attacking someone for giving very specific instructions, re-submit your resume according to the way they want you to send it in the subject line and hope for the best.

I left the "biggie MT group" on Facebook because it too, was starting to be filled with hateful, bitter people and in many ways, becoming like this board has become.

Yes, I have three jobs. Yes they are all straight typing, but I do not work all three jobs on the same day. I can work all three jobs with a balance of sorts. How I do my work, which by the way, my employers are VERY pleased with is my bidneh and MY bidneh alone.

I have been attacked for "spending too much time" on FB or here. Well, let's put in a different perspective. If you all quit spending so much time on here b*tching and complaining and applied for work and FOLLOWED instructions as to how the resume should be sent, maybe you WOULD find a job to be happy with and stop complaining so much!
