Nuance was hacked a couple of years ago - it was a huge mess. VDI was born from that - it gives Nuance control of all the computers that their own MTs use plus those of the contract MTSOs who get work from Nuance. the only plus side I see to VDI is that the jobs upload and download fast because you are right there in their system, and the jobs don't have to go over the internet. Otherwise, it has been a nightmare as far as sound and booting up the VDI can take 20 to 40 minutes. I'm leaving MT altogether.
