At a former job there was not a lawsuit but an investigation of nonpaying of overtime. I had only worked under that particular department for less then a year, and with the fine and overtime pay I ended up with a check for over $10,000. It was a total surprise. You have nothing to lose by filling out the paperwork and maybe lots to gain.
