Nothing wrong with being an employee at least in my book, especially with the rates ICs get, employee would be much better financially, they should just get proper hourly compensation and taxes taken out and appropriate breaks. Many companies do misclassify employees as contractors to get out of paying them fairly and paying taxes not just in this industry.
