I know that a lot of clinic notes are disappearing from transcription and being replaced with "point and click" EMR generation. But what about operative reports? Are these new EMRs capable of generating an entire operative report? I understand how they can use templates for a lot of ENT and eye procedures, but what about spine revisions, broken bones, etc. Has anyone heard of or seen operative reports disappearing due to EMRs eliminating the need for transcription?
