I’m in the Pittsburgh area, and I’ve been working for a hospital for 12 years now, paid 6/line doing edited work. A clinic has asked me if I’d be interested in doing some side work for them, and I have no idea what to charge them. Talking casually to them last year, didn’t sound like they had any type of tran equipment or programs at that point, probably just handwritten note. Can anyone self-employed tell me what the going rate is for edited work and for straight typing nowadays? Might also consider charging hourly (main doc has a pretty thick accent, lol), but not even sure what that might be anymore. Any input would be appreciated!
