Quality of medical records has gone down - rapidly with allowing docs

to do their own reports and EMRs. Hospitals don't hold docs responsible because it's cheaper to have them do reports so the whole quality first is a crock. It's all about not having to pay transcriptionists. They aren't saving money and paying more though for the ridiculous prices for the EMRs and they rely on research from companies that sell the products instead of asking transcriptionists and people involved in creating reports advice on how well these programs work.

When the lawsuits start popping in over these errors they might begin to see the error in what they did by implementing these programs but will most likely still try to blame the transcriptionists.
