I think if things are going to "come back" in the hospital setting, they better do it quick.
You'll notice that I didn't just say she could lose her job; I threw in that her pay would likely be cut. By that, I meant all of healthcare is going down the tubes, and they simply aren't paying well anymore for MTs. They can also use the ASR spiel about how you can edit faster than you can straight transcribe.
I just think it's a poor choice to go into MT, but if one does, go in with your eyes WIDE OPEN.
