I have been on here for years trying to explain exactly what this poster couldn't have said better. Why are you chasing MT companies?
To the OP, when was the last time you did MT? It's not pretty. Not just the pay, the crud you have to edit on ASR.
Anyway, I got out of MT completely in 2012, and am sooooo glad I did.
If you insist on doing MT, at least start training for something else.
