I don't think the results are shared between them. So if they buy different ones, the results won't all show up together. Here's a suggestion. Get them all the same one, then maybe next year get a different one.
Here's an interesting story. Last year I found out I had a half-brother I never knew about! He used Ancestry and matched up with a cousin who was really into the genealogy stuff. She managed to track us down by talking to other relatives. It has been wonderful having another brother. We all get along great!
