Misleading post. VDI does NOT HAVE TO BE ON - for Nuance to scan your system at will Posted: Nov 27th, 2018 - 9:28 am In Reply to: The answer is....sm - Just me
Once you let N install VDI, you have no idea what they D/L and what was embedded in the VDI program. The contract clearly stated that N will scan your computer, any/all programs, at Ns choosing without your knowledge or permission in advance. Do you not understand? If it was as simple as just logging out of VDI, N would not be able to "scan" anything at any time w/o your permission; therefore, there would be no need for this language in the contract.
This was done so N can go through your entire system at their leisure WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, AMD WITHOUT VDI BEING "ON". You really need to educate yourself about the degree of intrusion by N and understand what they are doing. You are doing yourself no favors, or others, by not knowing what N is doing.
They will be able to see every single client you work for that is not one of theirs by virtue of the fact ICs signed the contact allowing N full access to their systems at any time.
