with the contract stating they can log in anytime they choose without notifying you then if you're working for another client at that time it would be a HIPAA breach and you'd be the one in trouble, not them. I'd find out if the access they want to "scan as we please" is only through VDI as then you could keep them from logging on except for when you have VDI logged in - otherwise it could cause you to get a HIPAA fine.
