Don't even try, that's a very positive attitude. OP, If you can complete a course and obtain certification, by all means apply for every job you see advertised, employers do waive experience requirements in lieu of certification and if you pass preemployment testing, you will probably get the job. Some places will even give new-hires a year to become certified, some people start in other positions in HIM departments and move into coding in this manner. Some employers will offer tuition reimbursement. I would not let anything anyone says on this board hold you back if coding is what you want to do, you won't know unless you try.
