that have pretty much eliminated their American Coders, along with their American transcriptionists. I agree with others that say it will go the way of transcription. It is an easily off shored job. If you really want to stay in the medical field a hands on profession is the safest bet at this point. Even Radiology is being sent over seas because you can do it without seeing the patient. IT's depressing for sure, but something to be fully aware of. Of course, it also depends on how many working years you have left to also take into consideration.
