I also brought a copy of the TAA certification - today to my Job Center appointment

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that since I am underemployed, with minimal hours, I do qualify for at least part of the benefits from TAA, namely TRA (Trade Readjustment Allowances), which is for retraining and costs associated with that. She did say I don't have to be laid off to qualify for that, so that's one good thing.

The office I went to today never dealt with a TAA Decision so she is going to send me to another one that has experience with it, I think there is also a person who may come to my home, so that is great too.

Whew. So my advice is to definitely apply for at least partial UE if you have not been laid off yet and have minimal work (like me), and print out the actual TAA Decision #93548 which has received certification as of 03/29/2018 (link below). Before I even met with the Unemployment person, she had checked out the paperwork and informed me straight off that I am eligible for TRA.

It was heartening to find out that we are entitled to something, even though we are in the ridiculous situation where we have not been laid off yet have no work to support ourselves.

Good luck to us all.
