Catch 22 - We are caught in the middle

So what do MTs do if they need a job? I am retired and do MT work for supplemental income. There are no jobs out there as an MT and the ones that are out there are retail, merchandizing, give out samples, etc. The only good thing about those jobs is they take out taxes, otherwise, they are basically $10 an hour jobs.

I agree that Nuance and M*Modal have destroyed this profession with their greed and the hospitals could care less.

No one is going to take a stand and we are the ones caught in the middle of it, hence lower pay and very poor working conditions.

I could go on and on, but it has all been said before. I have worked for a company and have been doing work for N for 2 years, so this isn't anything new.

It's all going to disappear down the line anyway, so either make due with what you can or find something else. There are jobs out there, even if you have to work retail.
