when you help someone, you do it because you want to HELP. You shouldn't need to be thanked. Sure, it would be nice, but not necessary. Reminds me of when, growing up, I was told if you ever loan money, loan it with NO expectation of ever getting it back, just have the mentality of giving/not loaning. Then you don't lose friends (or family) over it.
