The only way the company will survive is if we work through the process and take our lumps as they come. If you are not interested...as many have...you are free to leave. Offshoring is not going anywhere, we cannot all work M-F while our kids are in school...no one can. Workflow is not M-F school hours, if that is what you think, you have not been in the business very long. We all have managers/supervisors that are absent all weekend (as well as other staff), but many of us have supervisors/managers and coworkers that are there right along with us no matter what time we work. I think these ads that promote working at home is so easy are the problem - working at home is TOUGH! And if you feel disconnected - reach out, you may be surprised. If you love it...fight for it...if not quit bashing.
