How do they do that? - Missing something sm

Please tell us how they do that.

Their stuff is on my other PC. I access this site from my personal, totally separate computer. But I can also access it from the PC I use for work.

How do they block my personal computer from accessing this site? They don't control my Internet provider.

I've tried to research this on my own and I'm not finding a way that they can do this. Please tell me what you're thinking. Maybe I've missed something.

I'm just trying to get more information so I can protect myself. Thanks.
