Actually, I was/am quite successful having been an MT for over 15 years, even owning my own business prior to moving to another state. I am currently an MT with an amazing company part time. So you see, attitude is everything, but when you get beat down constantly and go from making hourly wages to a complete overhaul of your payscale to production (yes, I was a QC for Nuance), and to never have any work and unable to do any MT work so the MTs wouldn't run out of work, yep, attitude. So stay where you are if you're happy, that's great. For me, over 2 years with Nuance was more than enough and I'm in a much better place working a regular 8-5 job, consistent pay and also working part time with a great transcription company.
