I've been here for nearly 10 years and it's always been 15 minutes on either side. I was never told that my schedule would be flexible and therefore don't expect it. I've worked a lot of jobs outside of MT in my life and every one had strict rules about clocking in/out early or late. A few of them would be upset if I clocked in/out only 5 minutes early or late. If I am ever going to be late or even think I'm going to be late, I email or call the TSM and let her know. It's been extremely rare, but it has never been a problem. If, however, you are consistently 15 minutes or more late, then maybe you need to adjust your schedule or start planning better.

Again, this is not an MModal thing, this is very common in many workplaces, and I think it so odd that a 15-minute window would be such a problem.
