Sure. - I am early 50s.

I went back to school and entered the nursing program at about 40. I completed all pre-nursing and most everything but the clinicals. It was what I "always" wanted to do. I did not care for it. I loved the medical part but not the patient care part. It just was not for me. I was still in MT and was making MUCH more at that time than I could to start nursing in my small community. So, I left the program. I am now in my early 50s and am once again ready to reinvent myself - not by choice. In my area (much larger now with a move), there are quite a few HIM-related positions when I am ready to make the break. But I do think I will try something completely different.

Hope that helps.
