How do I transcribe 6 pounds 1 ounce ?  6#1oz, or 6 lb 1 oz or ???? Thank You !

Just like you have it, 6 pounds 1 ounce. According to the BOS, do not to use - SM

I don't get this whole weight thing. There are 16 ounces in a pound. How do you transcribe 124 and 3/4 pounds? When the doc said 212 and a half pounds, I put 212.8 lbs because there are 16 ounces in a pound and half of that would be 8 ounces, but it was changed to 212.5 lbs, which to me says 212 pounds 5 ounces. So, how would you type 124 and 3/4 pounds? TIA! ...
