99.7%??? Why don't they just make it 100% and get it over with? Then they can get rid of everybody.

And hey! What if I actually heard what I is on the report! I spend entirely too much time second guessing what I might get marked off for. Being marked of for "adding" the. Really?? Even when it makes absolutely no difference in context. Maybe I heard "the"? And get dinged for 2 spaces between 2 words in a sentence when I could not see that on the screen??? And ASR has been adding more and more extra spaces. If the extra space is at the end of the editing window, I cannot/will be able to see that.

I will be so glad when I am out of here. I finished school, but I am finding it hard to break into the new field. :-(

You may get those errors marked, but there is no point value to them, so they will not make you fail quality for a report. If you are getting points off for those you mention, you need to say something.

Those errors were listed in the dinged category. Seems to have changed. - dnr

On the spread sheet, these were in the list of reasons for he ding. I never saw this in the 0.25 category before. I wonder if they changed the list or that audit group has a different list.

On the sheet I have spacing errors have no point values and omission/insertion of "a" or "the" also does not UNLESS it has a minor impact on the meaning of the sentence OR leads to a grammatically incorrect sentence.

I got 0.25 off for - putting 2 spaces after a period

You should tell your supervisor and challenge that. Spacing errors do not receive point values. Perhaps the auditor made a mistake and did not catch it. Please look on the intranet and find the ED&W document.

If it is in the Client Profile that they want spacing a certain way, then yes, you may get dinged for that. The reason you all are getting "dinged" so much is because if the auditors don't mark it and WE get audited, then the points go against US and not you, and WE fail our audits, which is on the list of grounds for termination.

I forgot about the CP. There are a couple of weird ones out there that just want one space after everything and stuff like that, so you are correct, they would get points deducted for that.

Quality audits should also be done on the input (dictations), not just on the output (editing/transcribing). The output can only be as good as the input.

This is so very true. It is amazing with the stuff that ASR is putting out these days; I'd love an auditor to see what the report looks like before we start editing and fixing it. The other day ASR did alprazolam as appraisal lamb. I'd love to see ASR at least 50% accurate.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen lately. I received a quality audit on 4/25 on my audit, which I passed at 98.3% (had one icky one in there). I was on the perfect list. Later that same day, I got an email telling me I had a critical error and I had better shape up. I ran an error report for all reports, all accounts on my platform for this quarter, 10/1 - 10/18. So far the Quality Index is 84% vs Quality Score 99.18%. Didn't they advertise this new error scoring as working out in our favor? Doesn't look like it to me. This is based on 2194 jobs and 105,358 lines audited on E5. I checked the box that says view all corrections on the correction report. ...

Can somebody tell me what this audit/QA procedure is now? I'm so confused with when they are done, how many reports are done, etc., etc. I had been told earlier that 5 reports would be randomly pulled monthly and checked. You would be notified you had been audited and the results. If you passed, another 5 would be done the next month and so on. If you didn't pass the audit, then a redo audit within 7-14 days would be done on another 5 random reports. ...

I don't understand how auditing works. Two of my reports were reviewed, and in each case, a word I had puit in had a line through it, but then it was replaced with the same exact word! For that, I got marked off, getting only 99.50% or 99.75%. I wish there was a way we could give direct feedback to the auditors at the time we're viewing our reports. ...

:( I have tried to give the QA program the benefit of the doubt, thinking it was being done fairly, rewarding us for near perfect QA scores. I have managed to keep my QA score above 99% every week until last week. Before last week, I normally have 8 to 11 reports pulled for audit, some short, some long. I have only had 3 audits in 2-1/2 years. Even though I received notice of scores of 99.6 or 99.7, I did not receive any account of what my mistakes were to produce those scores. A comma? A hyphen? Okay, I may be the last one to know this, but I thought the only QC audits I was getting were the ones showing up on the DQM QA Feedback screen where it says (1 unread) or (how many ever unread). When you click on them, if the report has been audited by your QC, it will have a percentage score. But that's just for the reports you sent in with a blank. This is silly Not only do we need to follow CP guidelines but BOS and then DocQscribe standards. So even if you have the first 2, the third will get you audit. Why can't they spend the money and create one set of rules to follow and be done with it. I got CRITICAL errors on audit for things like: I typed "I used a translator telephone..." (that is what I heard) and the person auditing changed "a translator telephone" to "the translator telephone" (I suppose she heard "the" instead of "a"). In the physical exam portion of one report, the dictator used "was" throughout except for one time he said "is" and so I changed it to "was" to make it consistent and got a critical error for that. Does it seem like no matter what you do it is not good enough? Here lately it seems like they only audit the worst dictator. The only reports they have audited for me lately have been ESLs lately. I'd like to say I have had to learn accounts on my own and have had to cross reference many, many times. Yes, I have seen blanks where if someone had taken the time to hunt for the word, it would have helped me also, but for the most part with what we have to work with, I have seen words that are highly inaudible by many, many doctors with bad dictation and yet what was typed was a wonder we could make anything out of it. I want to repeat this for those who may have missed it and I am not looking for pity. Was moved to a new account after 4 years on 2 very difficult accounts with only 1 or 2 failed audits (and was always given a second chance). After 24 hours on the new account and telling them there was one particulary dictator I could not hear because he kept moving away from the phone, they audited me, included reports from that dictator, and immediately put me on 100% QA at which point I finally ...
