stating too many reports being sent in with blanks.  Need to send these to QA/MME/whatever they're called now.  Why would we do this and get paid even less for the most horrible dictators, the worst sound quality, nothing in repository to help, being in the cesspool, yadda, yadda, yadda.  This is just so laughable that they'd send this knowing we'll get paid less for sending these reports to QA.  Not me!!

if facility requires it for so many blanks, it does not count against you; though, I have not run across having to do that, so don't know if that is true or not.

I do not understand why they cannot correct samples, then put them in the repository.

Maybe do this for a month, and then there should be enough samples.

It is crazy that we are expected to be 99% and don't have any of these "tools" to help us do that. Benchmark sucks, no reports in repository, hit or miss finding these docs in report lookup, and contradictory feedback from MMEs, and dont even get me started on the outdated client profiles!

I don't think they are taking the time to put anything new in the repository. Most of the time, if there is something in the repository for a doctor, it's usually not what I need.

I can and it really helps. Anyone who cannot, you should ask your CCM how to do it.

on blanks tremendously. It does not take any longer than looking at repository, which is usually useless or empty anyway. I would rather take the minute or so to do that than send blanks. I use the report lookup function almost on a daily basis for patient medication lists, doctor names, dictator PE or operative reports, etc., for difficult dictators or PAs/residents who often act like they have never heard of a common medication and/or medical term, much less how to pronounce it.

How do you access that? I've never been told a thing about it. All I have is the respository, which is usually empty or useless for what I'm doing.

put the letters dep (small case) at the end of your user name, all else the same, and log in. Click on search from the right side list. Search by subject or dictator. If searching by dictator, put in first name of facility (don't have to use the whole name), dictator access code (from ADT), and the rest is pretty much self-explanatory. I choose this month or last month and then the facility. If searching by subject, copy and paste patient MRN number from ADT and click search. Hope this helps.

I also use it. I think it is very slow, but no other choice. Repository could do the same function a lot of times and be quicker.

OLD reports and often times not what you need. Report look up gives you many reports to look at to find what you need, especially when looking for a RECENT medication list, doctor name, etc. It does not take that much longer and worth it to get what you are looking for in my opinion. I send maybe 1 or 2 blanks a month to QA because of this tool and usually only when it is something I want to know for future reports on difficult dictators.

Physical Exam or ROS (every time) as he blows through it at 100 mph, repository would be great and much quicker. They are supposed to be "normal" reports. I do the DocQManage a lot and it is never quick. There are a lot of steps and then have to wait a bit for it to "find" whatever parameters you have given it.

Considering we are on production it would only make sense to make the report lookup quicker and more user friendly but nooooooooooooooooo, it's much easier to come up with other ways to rip off the MT.

We are supposed to contact her and wait for her blessing to send a report with blanks to the client, otherwise all are to go to QA. All because a handful of MTs are abusing the system and sending through half done reports or reports full of blanks to the client. "We know you are all concerned about your QA submission...." No they are not!

That's so funny, its the exact opposite of the e-mail we just got from corporate that we are not to send things to QA and that up to 7 blanks will not even be automatically sent to QA anymore. I say go after the individual MTs abusing the system. If they truly are then they should be placed under disciplinary management, not your whole team.

Just another example of unfettered greed, the company wanting perfection but not wanting to pay for it. For each report edited, the company is making roughly three times the amount they're paying the MT. Sending a report to QA means a slight reduction in those obscene profits, unless! they force the MTs to pay for their own QA. VR has been a huge windfall for these companies, which makes this policy all the more offensive. What they've done is painted the MT into a corner. With the terrible voice quality of so many reports, you can either guess and risk failing an audit, send multiple blanks to client and risk having them complain vociferously, or you can send to QA and work for free. All are officially discouraged, but never simultaneously lest the contradiction become apparent. Employees slave away for nothing; CEO and management take all the profits. That's how business is done in America.

LESS PAY FOR SENDING TO QA - You get what you pay for!

I think it is reprehensible that MQ reduces your line rate for notes sent to QA. I work for a company where, though the pay is not the best, they would never do that. When one gets a cut in pay for trying to do the right thing, all that does is make the transcriptionist less conscientious about the work they are doing. It encourages us to either fill in the blank when we are not sure or just send the blank to the client. Who wants to take a cut in pay for trying to ensure that the product the client is receiving is the best it can be. MQ obviously doesn't care a great deal about the finished product if they are penalizing their transcriptionists for asking for help. It really is a shame.

This is something that has been bothering me. I feel stupid asking, but since it's rather important, I ask.   cpl   Currently, I am making 0.083 per line typed. I see people stating things like 7 cpl or .8 cpl. Does that equate to 7.0 per lined type (seems crazy!) and 0.8 per line typed? I'm currently being offered incentive pay for working on my days off. Is transcribing Acute Care notes that much different than clinical notes?  I currently transcribe for a family practice and gastro docs who do colonoscopies and minor procedures and have typed for oncologists and cardiologists, gyns, ophthalmologists.  Can it really be that much different?  I'm asking because I think I could do it. I am a fairly quick learner and have a good grasp of terminology and worked in a rehab hospital and was exposed to a lot of H&P, discharge sum ...

I'm sort of new to this "work pool" thing where the work is shared amoung several MTs.
