Brain rot? - Is it just

Posted: Dec 26, 2012

me? I am working MT part time and another job part time and can't remember ANYTHING at my other job. I am wondering if maybe I am just too used to being able to look things up at my fingertips or if editing has made my memory more reliant on recognition versus more active remembering, or maybe I'm just overloaded. Anyone else noticed memory problems developing in this business?

brain rot - tired old MT

I think just staring at the screen and inserting a comma here and there and cleaning up the rest of it is ruining ability to recall. I couldn't even remember how to spell turbinates the other day - terbinates? It puts your major thinking processes "out to lunch."

My brain is not - rotten... It is the

work that is rotten. Just imagine if you were a carpenter and had to spend all day pounding nails with a wrench.

I haven't been able to type 3 words in a row lately - w/o making an error sm

I definitely need a couple of days off to get my engines refired!

Yes, that - sounds about

like what is going on with me. I have become a recognition machine rather than an active participant. Scary. But yeah, getting older too...that doesn't help.
