hear they are reviving their newsletter again? how many times has that sorry newsletter died and been brought back to life. all in the name of allowing their MT worker bees to communicate. communicate what. with who. just the crazy power trippers blowing their snot out all over the people actually doing the work.

hear one of the pretty boys is accepting submissions. submissions of what everyone asks. better get them in quick.

And surely it will be 100% error free. Had 1 MTSO newsletter - found error on first page. SM

I pointed it out and asked if it was a trick, to see if we caught it. No answer, which I took as a no, and never saw another edition of it. Printed material from an MTSO dealing with words and preferred 100% accuracy, had darn well better be accurate itself.

most of the people in this company don't even know who Joann was or worked with her. HELLO?? So, where's our annual reviews we used to get, where's our pay raises? Where's our bonuses? Okay, the trip to Vegas is between someone who lives in CA and someone on the east coast....who do you think gets the trip? Which trip would cost the most?

Employee Of The Month? - Confused and tired

Maybe management should consider treating EVERY MT fairly before they decide to crown their favorite MT for the month/year. They could use the money spent to send a single employee to Vegas and reward every MT for their hard work with accurate line counts, enough work to keep them busy their entire shift, raises/bonuses and fair PTO. Employee Of The Month only works when morale is high to begin with.

All of you people just gripe about the littlest things. Either read it or don't. Who cares! - SSMT

If you don't have something to gripe about, you are just not happy. It is a newsletter. Read it or don't. Some of us happen to like it. Some of us also happen to like working for SoftScript. I do my work and I am done for the day. I enjoy overtime when it is available as well (as it is right now).

The fact that you're complaining about people complaining is pretty entertaining in itself. Chances are you're either management or brand new at SoftScript and not over the honeymoon stage.

How long after end of pay period does Softscript usually pay? I'm fairly new and trying to adjust! It's the 8th and end of November pay hasn't posted yet - is it just me since I'm new? I have noticed a significant decline in my line count with Softscript ever since their blooper that happened on MT week. I dont really understand how that has affected my line count so much but I used to type 23 jobs and get about 1000 lines. Now I type 23 jobs on the same accounts and get 700 lines. Something is wrong with this picture. I am looking for another job, I just feel like I'm wasting my time. ...

I noticed that every now and then that SoftScript advertises on the MT Job board for a pathology transcriptionist. I tried applying for that job once, but they said that they wanted "recent" experience and the last time I did pathology was in 2001. And yet, they keep advertising for that position. I've not been working for SS very long and have been doing QA for them. I was wondering if anyone who reads this board is a QA, or has been a QA, for SS and, if so, do they audit you? How strict are the audits? What happens if you don't make the score? I have a friend who used to work for SS a couple years ago and she said that she quit because the audits were "nitpicky." Have over 10 years experience, have applied twice, have left my shift to work open. Have nothing against me, great references. Their email address they provide on their website when submitting emails to returns stating not a working email/no longer exists...Not one reply back. Do not answer their phones. No response to application. Yet, every week, they post begging for people. IMO, companies like this, aren't worth 2 cents. If the people they hire ...

SoftScript has bait and switch listings up again. Please take a minute and read over recent posts regarding SoftScript's techniques to employ MTs. How many mentors and Q coordinators can they really need? They post these fictitious positions, hire as many people as they can for these positions, and a few days after being hired, no one will be the "right fit."
