What happened to the TTS threads? - Am I missing something here?

but I think that is a so far fetched idea that it borders on WHAT? I will guarantee this, the company had nothing to do with it coming down. I have seen this happen time and time again on this board. Whenever a thread goes on and on for what seems like forever, the entire thread will come down. Be assured, company had nothing to do with this and if the moderator would say, you would find out what happened.

Plus now that they are also linked to Nuance and getting work from them we don't need a bad reputation. Many chiefs now to come on and try to revamp their reputation...maybe.

The board administrator terminated what they felt was a non-productive conversation ... and they possibly felt that it didn't exactly make the board look particularly inviting, either to people here for the first time or people who have been around for a while and got tired of the bullying.

In short ... it's what my husband does when he wants to end an argument. He'll smile and say, "Whatever you say, dear."

Husband and I have been married 14 years now. He will never argue with you, never. If I say- oh don't you remember so and so and he says no, then I try to explain and he says, "oh, yes, you're right I do...." You cannot argue with someone who agrees with you.

I think there are a few disgruntled MTs on here who - obviously have it in for TTS

I agree they post a lot of ads, but can't be any worse than having a standing ad like some places.

Is it personal experience? Word of mouth? Something else> --- In all honesty, only the poster knows the absolute truth for their reasons.

I worked for a company last years for about 4 months. We did not part on the best of terms. Okay, it happens. Sure, I could have spoken poorly of them to others, but when asked I simply say, "It wasn't a good fit."

TTS is a good fit for me and many others. I hope every MT can one day work for a company (at home or in an office) that is a positive working experience, for them.

Good grief, lets bash the company for taking posts down before anyone actually looks? Click on the month of June and it is still there!

Sick of disgruntled MTs who can't take blame but that is how society is nowadays. Hate to break it to you, but sometimes it is YOU and not them.

And yes, I am a current TTS MT for over 5 years. If you are good you can make it.

Line rates: Why are experienced MTs being paid the same rates as newbies? These MTSOs state that an experienced MT should end up with more money because he/she is able to produce more lines than a newbie. but I have been with OTI for MANY years and I have VERY SELDOM run out of work. If I got low on work, I'd ask for a backup account and usually got one. They don't bother me while I'm working unless they call to ask me to do a stat. Perhaps they have "favorites," but I'm not one of them, I can assure you. Occasionally when I'm doing an ASR report and insert a QA marker the yellow cursor marker will go away and the cursor goes to the end of the report. Then I have to scroll back through the report to find my place and if I lift my foot off the foot pedal it happens again. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's irritating on a really long report. That is when I got a new CSM and they said they were "restructuring" and some CSMs were going to deal only with MTs and some only with customers. My new CSM said her old MTs were always running out of work because THEY said the average MT could do "x amount" of dictation and most of hers could do twice that, and so when she got the "new-to-her" MTs and accounts, then we all started running out of work. ...

I was an "MDIer" for the past year and 2 days ago we became Transcend. Even though I was considered part-time with MDI, I was really FT because of the hours/reports I typed (radiology). As stated in my previous post, I have been typing all new accounts for the last 2 weeks with no training whatsoever. I got a "critical error" report back because of the number of blanks I had put into the report and sent directly to the client.
