s/l sum direction on x-ray - not a radiology savant

"X-ray looked good in the lateral plane and the s/l sum direction is actually better." Not sure what "sum" direction is. The terms "sum" and "direction" are so wide it's hard to find anything specific to radiology with google. Anyone know?
If it's a knee, it may be "sun" (short for "sunrise"). - Been a long time since Rad days.

If it's really true that the QC team is being let go in some of the regions, I have a feeling the TSMs will be next, and that at some given point there will be employees, and Auditors. That's it. An old TSM that I worked with for many many years just got promoted to working with the clients in person, and the team QC got promoted to Auditor. After reading through this board I am totally confused about coding and what certification(s) I need. I am an MT, have been for the last 14 years.
