The direction I see it going ... - workerbee

Posted: Nov 06, 2013

If it's really true that the QC team is being let go in some of the regions, I have a feeling the TSMs will be next, and that at some given point there will be employees, and Auditors.  That's it.

An old TSM that I worked with for many many years just got promoted to working with the clients in person, and the team QC got promoted to Auditor.  We might be getting a glimpse of the "new face" of MModal for the coming year.

My TSM told me once, that long before a major layoff of employees, there would be a layoff of QCs and TSMs because they weren't considered "the money-makers".  Maybe that was her way of planting a bug in my ear.

i wish they would call me and lay me off please god - i am so sick of this place

Changes - Passing through

What will be interesting is the "look" of things after the maintenance on Sunday, for instance in DQM when the combination of regions are made. Also I find it interesting that a particular supervisor changed her job title on Facebook a few days ago, to what was announced today, so it was not "official immediately", changes were made and they knew for a while what was happening, as usual and waited until all set in place to tell us....go figure.

I must be SO naive ... - anon

I guess there's a lot I don't know about what goes on during maintenance, updates, etc but I'm sure I'm not the only one (I hope).

So I guess my question would be, if we are part of the region (s) that have "super sized", we wouldn't see any difference in our work flow until after the maintenance on Sunday? Or would we be starting to see them right now?

And, is anyone able to tell us the new positions of the TSMs that are being eliminated? You mentioned that one of them changed her job title on her FB page a few days ago ... what did she change it to?

I would SOOOOO love to know if my TSM is on the block. Would our team have gotten an email about it by now?

I thought we decided - that was all a hoax. nm

I'm not sure if your comments are directed at me or someone else but since you are responding directly to my post I'm assuming me? Am I missing something?
to the person who said "we all" decided it was a hoax - i always thought it was an accurate post

whoever that person is knows something because this has happened before on this board. They came on here the day before the layoffs last time and warned us.
But it is extremely annoying and a waste of time - for someone to do so without SM

providing any further information other than stating to brace yourselves. This lends no credibility at all to their post and for the most part does nothing but upset the board and start a series of snippy posts.

If someone knows something, please have the courtesy and the decency to come out and say it. A vague post with disinformation does nobody any good.
Agreed - very well stated - NM

well you cant post verbatim emails on here and more specific information - may get you canned

so i can see where the mystery poster is coming from
Someone does not have to post verbatim information - on here SM

but something simple that gives at least some idea of what may be happening.

"brace yourself" could mean anything from losing an account, losing a TSM, selling the company, pay cuts, benefits lost, anything. How in the world could a person even know what to brace up for, without information?

Unless only one specific person throughout the whole company is told what people are to "brace" for, I doubt the blame for a leak would be able to be assigned.

Turns out this reassignment of regions, whatever, wasn't that big of a deal to warn people about. Nothing more than a Chicken Little type of post to stir drama. Regions or TSMs reassigned, a big to-do about nothing.

well i have asked several times about a schedule change next year - my 2 cents

and I can't even get my TSM to reply. makes me really, really nervous. Makes me wonder if she knows I won't be around that long.

There are NO TSMs, QCs, MTs, or MMEs with Mmodal anymore.

As far as "super regions," I've been in the West since 1999 and have been getting jobs from New Jersey and Florida. Maybe the USA is the super region.

Our audits are being done not by our BOB people anymore, but by an overall Mmodal auditing group. Good luck with that.

Hey ... that's weird ... something you just said ... - anon

I'm in the western region too, and I've also been getting work from New Jersey and Florida. I even did one emergency room report from New York City last week. I bet we work for the same team. I thought it was really odd that I was getting work from those areas.

That's why none of this "super region" stuff makes ANY sense to me because a super region to me, means at least in the same-ish time zone. Not a region that extends across the US.

I can't get used to that new title - former MME

I can't even remember what my new title is supposed to be. Whatever it is, I think it's stupid.

S/l Sum Direction On X-ray
Feb 23, 2011

"X-ray looked good in the lateral plane and the s/l sum direction is actually better."  Not sure what "sum" direction is. The terms "sum" and "direction" are so wide it's hard to find anything specific to radiology with google. Anyone know? ...

Looking For Direction...
Sep 06, 2011

I am in need of a career change and am currently exploring coding. I've gone through a few websites, like AAPC, and some of the archives here, but I'm still confused and have a bunch of questions! Please help where you can. What really is the difference between the CPC and CCS? I understand that the CCS is more beneficial, but I don't quite understand the mechanics of either. Is office coding more like a billing/clerical position? Do I have to have a 2-year HIM degree too? Does t ...

Need Direction
Mar 17, 2015

After reading through this board I am totally confused about coding and what certification(s) I need. I am an MT, have been for the last 14 years. I never got certified, just landed a good job after I graduated college (with a nursing focus, so lots of anatomy, etc.)...I have been considering either Career Step or Andrews only because those are the main ones that come up when searching. But, what I need to know is what are these other certifications?? What courses/certifications do I actually ne ...

Superior Global Is Moving In A Different Direction
Jan 15, 2014

Wow, just got a call that Superior Global is moving in a different direction and no longer needs my services.  That's why I have to get out of this business and hard at work at this.  Looks like he was calling a list down the line because this man that called me called me by a different name at first.  Asked what was going on, and he said also "I am not at liberty to say."  ...
