s/l distreus osteopenia - unsure

There is no real lucency at the fracture site, but some lucency in the metatarsal head suggestive of either s/l distreus osteopenia or possibly avascular necrosis. tia.

I was thinking that it might be diffuse osteopenia.

Diffuse ostepenia is a good answer too; however, it would depend on the age of the person. If the person had a recent fracture and has been in a cast, the disuse of the limb could cause disuse osteopenia rather than diffuse osteopenia.

I believe I am hearing disuse. The patient is a 45-year-old with an injury to her left foot over 3 months ago.
