Has anyone ever heard of this?  I cannot find it anywhere.  TIA

Are you positive you hear parajuxtal? Is is possible it might be paradoxical meaning a parodoxical reaction or result? This means basically that something occurs that shouldn't be...for instance, taking a drug for osteoporosis and it has the opposite effect, i.e. your bones get weaker. Therefore, paradoxical osteopenia. If you hear it clearly, then I'm stumped.

thanks - mt3

I am going to tag it but I think you are right and I thank you so much for your help.

I'm sure it's too late now, but... - antigeekess

My guess would have been "perijunctional" osteopenia. That would mean around the joints.

There is no real lucency at the fracture site, but some lucency in the metatarsal head suggestive of either s/l distreus osteopenia or possibly avascular necrosis. tia.     ...
