leap biopsy or leep biopsy for HPV - beNice

I see that there is a LEEP procedure but unsure because I see the 2 terms unsed interchangeably when I googled.

Stands for loop electrosurgical excision procedure. This is used in patients with HPV.

Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure. This procedure is also the same as the LLETZ procedure - Large Loop Excision of Transformation Zone. So if dr. says LEEP in one part of note and LLETZ in another part of the note, it's okay :)

LEEP stands for - sm

Loop Electrocautery Excision Procedure or Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure, so therefore biopsy would be LEEP.
