Bone marrow biopsy results - sw

Posted: Aug 09, 2011

This is a patient who has a history of pancytopenia secondary to uterine cancer.  The doctor is dictating the results of her bone marrow biopsy.  "...shows hypercellular for aged marrow with active trilineage hematopoiesis marked erythroid hyperplasia.  No morphologic evidence of malignancy or high-grade dysplasia.  S/L entry thiron stores.  Cytogenetics are still pending."

Not a lot of help - but I am wondering SM

If it is "No morphologic evidence of malignancy or high-grade dysplasia" in tri (something). I have no idea, my brain is mush now, but I am hoping it may give someone else an aha moment.

Maybe empty iron stores - Olive
