Wet to drys or wet to dries? - Jan

Posted: Apr 12, 2011

I have a dictator that always says the phrase "wet to drys" at the end of his op reports.   Yes, it is always a plural sound.  "Wet to drys" just does not look right to me, but neither does "wet to dries."  I would appreciate it very much if some of you fellow MTs would weigh in on how you think this phrase should be  written.  Thank you very much in advance.

I would do wet-to-dry's - or if you can recast (sm)

wet-to-dry dressings.

Thank you - Jan

It is a verbatim account, so I can't recast. That's a good idea, though. Thank you for your response.

Wet to dry's is not correct, it is dries - anon

the 's shows possession but this is a plural and plural is by adding an s not an 's.
