I am seeing it both ways in google, anyone know?

type BNP unless they actually say brain natriuetic peptide.

It can be written as either beta natriuretic peptide or brain natriurietic peptide, and is in Google both ways. I have also had it dictated both ways by doctors. You can also find it as beta natriuretic peptide test at the Cleveland Clinic web site
I would like some input on the correct way of writing this:
beta blockers or beta-blockers
beta blocker therapy or beta-blocker therapy
