Ileum and ilium - Teardrop

Posted: May 23, 2013

Everyone knows inflammation of the bowel is called ileitis.

What is inflammation of the ilium called?  Illiitis keeps getting thrown out.  It's as if human's were not allowed to have an inflamed ilium.

What say you, O Wise Ones?

Since there is such thing as sacroiliitis, I say - iliitis

Do you mean your spellcheck is - throwing it out?

Spellcheck is not divine writ. It cannot and does not contain every possible word in the English language. It flags many legitimate words as incorect. You can teach it new words. Why are you stressing over this? Just add the word to your spellcheck dictionary and get on with your life.
