I wouldn't assume it was Ethilon (though that's what I'm more familiar with) since there is an Ethibond brand suture also. But I do agree that maybe they're transposing the numbers and it should be 2-0, not 0-2.
I am used to hearing "two oh pds sutures" and transcribing "2-0 PDS sutures." Now I have heard two different docs say, "two point oh pds sutures." I am wondering if this is another type of suture. I googled and found many more hits with "2-0 PDS sutures" but still some published articles with "2.0 PDS sutures." Anyone know what's up with this? ...
doctor is saying "two double O silk sutures" and I am not sure how to type that.
My first thought was 2-00 silk sutures? Does anyone know if that is right?

I would like to transcribe from home again. However, I HAVE to get up and walk for a few minutes at least once an hour. You see, I had to have 2 back surgeries in the last 18 months. I've been a transcriptionist for many years and this is my profession. Does anyone have a suggestion what to tell these companies that will hire you to work from home when you have to get up so much?
