Am I Missing Something, Grammar-wise?
May 30, 2012

It seems like lately, I've been seeing people use what I thought was incorrect grammar so many places that I'm starting to question whether I'm the one who has it wrong.  Would appreciate your help!   The usage I'm referring to is when people say "So-And-So" and themselves as an object or an object of a preposition.  The latest example I saw was in a flier that came in our newspaper from a local chiropractor: "....my father told my brothers and I about how he ...

Had To Repost This Great Post From A Wise MT :)
Jan 02, 2011

"Had mandatory conference call with HR recently. Heard they are a growing company. Don't doubt it. Hospitals must love the instant TAT and low cost of Transcend. It means heck for us. Same as Walmart-- you appreciate low prices and availability, don't realize that the companies have to supply goods to Walmart at rock-bottom prices just to survive. Walmart is Transcend, Walmart shoppers are the hospitals looking for a good deal, the brand-name companies are us-- forced to supply at low, ...

Looking To Speed Things Up Some Production Wise
Mar 31, 2013

Hi. I am looking to speed things up some production wise. I have SH as my expander & I am working actively to build my dictionaries to include more phrases. My question is what is a faster way to insert the physician "templates" I have built. Currently I insert them into my documents using my expander but that can be slow for some of the longer ones (like H&P's). Reports are typed in Word 2007. I have been wondering about using macros but it has been YEARS since I have used macros. Looking ...

Word To The Wise - If Your Work Starts To Trickle Down
Sep 19, 2014

You'd better be looking very quickly for a new job, because you may all of a sudden find yourself locked out of the system with no warning, no inkling of what's going on at all, no idea there is or was any sort of problem, nothing. No matter how nice you think your MTSO or manager is,  open your eyes if you notice anything amiss at all and do it fast.  Don't keep all your eggs in one basket,  I'm very glad I didn't.   If at all possible, pleas ...

Editing MM ASR Is Like Shooting Yourself In The Foot Quality-wise.
Jun 07, 2015

I straight typed the entire history and assessment of an ASR report and edited the rest. Then, I took a glance at it. No problem with the straight-typed portion, but there were some niddly little brain error mistakes in the edited portion. Grrrr.... Like stray "a", "the" present or absent comma. I this zombie state inducing editing. I have noticed a ton of brain error mistakes when I have looked at prior patient reports. Sure, they can stick out like a sore thumb at times, but that is only ...
